St. James Academy is a Catholic high school in Lenexa, Kansas, United States. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. It is the only high school located in the city of Lenexa, but there are three public school districts that serve the city. [2]
The state basketball championships are held the second week of March, with girls and boys competition taking place at the same time. In 2011, the 6A tournament moved to Charles Koch Arena on the campus of Wichita State University, with Emporia taking over the Class 1A-Division I tournament. The 1A-Division II tournament remained at Hays.
As of 2024, the football team has won eight titles. The boys' basketball and wrestling programs have won their own titles, while the girls' golf, cross country teams have added the first girls' state titles in school history. In 2020, the Silver Stars Dance Team won their first state title in the inaugural KSHSAA Dance State competition.

The girls' program won state championships in 1974, 1993, and 2009. The most notable female track and field athlete is Trisa Nickoley who attended the school from 2000 to 2004. In track, she won the state championship in three individual events all four years – 400m (56.10), 800m (2:06.67) and 1600m (5:04.71).
The girls' golf team were the first Saints to win a KSHSAA championship, in the fall of 1992. They won again in 1996 and 1997. The Saints won in 2002, placed second in 2003 and 2004, then won six consecutive championships from 2007 to 2012 and have had multiple individual champions as well.
