Your World Tonight, formerly known as The World at Six, is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's flagship dinner-hour radio news program, airing Monday to Friday from 6 to 6:28 p.m. local time on CBC Radio One except in Newfoundland where it begins at 6:30. The program was launched on October 31, 1966.
In heavily populated provinces like Ontario, the various local morning shows within often rotate broadcasting for the entire province. On Christmas Day, the entire daytime broadcasting schedule, and most of the evening is preempted for holiday music programming except for news programming such as World Report and Your World Tonight.
Most schedules include hourly news readings that run from 4–10 minutes on the top of the hour except for major programming like the 6:00 p.m. news show, Your World Tonight, and the Sunday afternoon call-in show, Cross Country Checkup. Some mid-day programs include only brief 90-second "information updates".
In addition, the station also produces short news updates at the 30-minute mark of selected hours of national/provincial programming throughout the weekday, in addition to a noon broadcast, concluding with a slightly longer version at around 6:26 PM after the nationwide broadcast of CBC's main evening news show, Your World Tonight.

The program premiered in 2002, and was hosted from its inception by investigative journalist Anna Maria Tremonti. [3] It was created as a replacement for This Morning, partially in response to criticism that the prior program's prerecorded format had hamstrung the network's ability to pivot to a live breaking news broadcast on the day of the September 11 attacks.
