Ana Gasteyer (/ ˈ ɑː n ə ˈ ɡ æ ˌ s t aɪ. ər /; born May 4, 1967) [1] is an American actress, comedian and singer. [2] She is most notable for her tenure as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2002.
"The Soup Nazi" was Spike Feresten's first credited Seinfeld episode as a writer. The idea for the episode arose when Feresten told Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David about New York soup vendor Al Yeganeh, who was nicknamed "The Soup Nazi". Seinfeld and David laughed and said, "That's a show. Do that as your first show".
During the Point-Counterpoint between Jerry Seinfeld and Jerry Seinfeld (Jimmy Fallon), the real Jerry turns to Fallon's Jerry and says "Jerry, you ignorant slut," a reference to Point-Counterpoint in the 70s between Jane Curtin and Dan Aykroyd, where Dan would say "Jane, you ignorant slut."
