Frank Henry Netter (25 April 1906 – 17 September 1991) was an American surgeon and medical illustrator. The first edition of his Atlas of Human Anatomy — his "personal Sistine Chapel " [ 1 ] — was published in 1989; he was a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine where he was first published in 1957.
Netter's Essential Histology is a textbook/atlas of human histology authored by William K. Ovalle [1] [2] and Patrick C. Nahirney. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] Drawings by medical illustrator, Frank H. The Frank H. Netter M.D. School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, also known colloquially as Quinnipiac Medical School, or simply "Netter," is a medical school located in North Haven, Connecticut. The medical school was established in 2010 with its first class starting in 2013.
