Skyline is a rapid transit system in the City and County of Honolulu on the island of Oʻahu, in the state of Hawaiʻi.Phase 1 of the project opened June 30, 2023 and lies entirely outside of the Urban Honolulu census-designated place, linking East Kapolei (on the ʻEwa Plain) and Aloha Stadium.

The mainline was officially abandoned in 1947, although part of it was bought by the US Navy and operated until 1970. Thirteen miles (21 km) of track remain and preservationists occasionally run trains over a portion of this line. [1] Honolulu sought to initiate a rail transit system as early as the 1960s.
The track system begins at Bennett Avenue/5th Street going south out of Cripple Creek, goes past the old Midland Terminal Wye, then over a reconstructed train trestle, continues past historic mines and terminates very near the abandoned Anaconda mining camp. The return trip to Cripple Creek completes a total of 4 miles (6.4 km). [5]

The station houses a storage track, allowing for the deployment of extra trains for handling large events at nearby venues. The majority of passengers using the station and its park and ride facilities are expected to come from ʻAiea , Halawa Heights , Aliamanu, Foster Village, Salt Lake , and other nearby communities.
