Poltrona Frau is a furniture-maker founded in 1912 by Sardinian-born Renzo Frau [2] in Turin, Italy, headquartered since the early 1960s [3] in Tolentino and specializing in leather seating for interior and automotive applications. [4] The company name combines poltrona, the Italian word for 'armchair', and Frau, the last name of its founder.
The company began manufacturing automobile accessories in 1949. [1] It expanded into home furnishings in 1963. It was founded by Giulio Castelli [2] and Anna Castelli Ferrieri.
Esprit operates in more than 30 markets in Europe, Asia and America. It has about 20 partner stores in Southeast Asia and about 50 in Latin America. In Europe, the brand has 160 retail stores and approximately 400 franchise stores. They also have two pop-up stores in the United States in Los Angeles and New York. [6]
