The Cow Palace (originally the California State Livestock Pavilion) is an indoor arena located in Daly City, California, situated on the city's northern border with neighboring San Francisco. Because the border passes through the property, a portion of the upper parking lot is in San Francisco.
The US tour started on 20 November at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. The group were nervous about playing Quadrophenia after the British tour, especially Moon. Before the show, he was offered some tranquillisers from a fan. Just after the show started, the fan collapsed and was hospitalised.
[2] [3] Further events at the Cow Palace were interrupted temporarily by World War II, [4] and the site was used to stage troops; the ten-day rodeo and associated events returned on November 15, 1946. [5] [6] The third Grand National Rodeo was held from November 1–9, 1947. [7] The rodeo went virtual in 2020.
