State Road 436 (SR 436), known as Semoran Boulevard for most of its length and Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs, is a north-south road (east-west after US 17/92) in the Orlando area running from US 441 in Apopka to the Beachline Expressway near Orlando International Airport.
Here, US 17-92 (and SR 600) end their concurrency with US 441, and join SR 50, while US 441 and the Orange Blossom Trail move further northwest in Florida and beyond. A railroad line runs along the right side of this intersection, and the first feature along the US 17/92-SR 50 multiplex is a grade crossing.
Spanning approximately 53 miles (85 km) along a west–east axis, it connects Interstate 4 (I-4) in Orlando with I-95, Titusville, and Cape Canaveral on the Space Coast. SR 429 traverses some of the highest elevations in Orange County and is often within a few miles of the Lake Wales Ridge.It runs along the west side of Greater Orlando, later curving around Apopka, crossing the Wekiva River into Seminole County and connecting with Interstate 4 and Florida State Road 417 to complete a nearly complete ring around the city.
