The MediaWiki software maintains tables of categories, to which any editable page can be added. To add a page to a category, include "[[Category:Category name]]" or "[[Category:Category name|Sortkey]]" in that page's wiki markup. The categories to which a page belongs appear in a box at the bottom of the page.
WordPress themes are generally classified into two categories: free and premium. Many free themes are listed in the WordPress theme directory (also known as the repository), and premium themes are available for purchase from marketplaces and individual WordPress developers.
The best way to find out what exists is to browse. Either start at Wikipedia:Browse or Category:Articles, which shows the "top" level categories, to which all other categories should be connected. A list of all categories can be found at Special:Categories – there are many listed but you can use the search box.
mode=pages displays only the pages in the category; mode=all displays subcategories, pages and images; mode=parents displays only the parent categories; mode is categories by default. depth=1 displays one level of the tree; depth=2 displays two levels of the tree, and so forth; depth is 0 by default.

The uppermost category in the hierarchy is Category:Contents. From here all other categories branch out, including those that are used for the maintenance of Wikipedia. If an entry in a category is shown in italics it is a redirect to an article of a different name or a section of an article that contains information about that particular subject.
Topic categories – categories of articles relating to a particular topic, such as Category:Geography or Category:Paris. Set-and-topic categories – categories that are combinations of the two above types. Universal categories – categories used to provide a complete list of articles which are otherwise normally divided into subcategories.
