The Palatki Heritage Site is an archaeological site and park located in the Coconino National Forest, near Sedona, in Arizona, United States at approximately 34°54′56″N 111°54′08″W. In the Hopi language Palatki means 'red house'.
The early settlers were farmers and ranchers. In 1902, when the Sedona post office was established, there were 55 residents. In the mid-1950s, the first telephone directory listed 155 names. Some parts of the Sedona area were not electrified until the 1960s. The area, then unincorporated, had no local government and was bisected by two counties.
Little Daisy Hotel is a 12,398-square foot hotel [1] located on 3.45 acres of land in Jerome, Arizona. It is best known for having been originally built as lodging to serve miners working in the Little Daisy mine beginning in 1918 before being converted to a private residence.
Big Park, the pioneers' name for the large open area that became the Village of Oak Creek in the early 1960s, is set among scenic red-rock buttes and canyons. The Bell Rock scenic area adjoins the north end of VOC, and the town is surrounded by the Coconino National Forest. A Forest Service Visitor Center is located at the south end of VOC.
