I downloaded something from softonic, (I did not run it) and I scanned the file. My anti-virus said it was safe, but just to be safe I scanned it with malwarebytes. I am unsure if these extra functions will be present in the windows 7 version and, well, if it is safe. Because I've had such bad luck w downloads, again, I'm hesitant. The info on the Microsoft web site is about the 8.1 version. There is no link on this web site to download the add on, either.
First it is not a safe place to keep them (i.e., you may loose them due to malware, and a cluttered Desktop is an easy hiding place for malware), and last but not least - it can have an effect on your PCs performance. Nirsoft is a safe site. I use several of his programs on my computers and have for quite a few years. His programs are small and NONE of them install. You run a program from the exe file only so it is like a portable app. I avoid softonic but I never had a problem with softpedia.

Just because I made it safe without a virus doesn't mean the link will still be safe in the future from now. So depends on how bad you want it but as of Nov 24, 2014 THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR KODAK EASYSHARE other than buying a new computer with newer Windows.
The Evil Update KB2670838, is way less of an issue now than it was with the first year or so's versions, as other updates have also moved on.
Whenever you use the CCleaner "Issues" section to clean the registry; prior to performing the actual cleaning process, the program offers to "option" to backup the previous registry. The CCleaner backup process takes about 5 seconds to complete and can save you hours of trouble should something go wrong.
As bigbazza pointed out, RivaTuner hasn't had an update in 2 years so it may not work with your card well or at all. As far as safety, overclocking your card could physically destroy it no matter what you use. Be sure to do some research before you do anything, especially if you can't afford to lose your present card.
