one thing that is bad about the WS rods is the cork. It is just a wrap over eva foam. If you troll in heavy current or drift in heavy current and use heavy weights your rod holders will end up leaving dents all over the cork. And the cork will split after a while. I had all of my rods replaced last year for this.

Very nice rod, as it should be for the price tag ($146.95 with shipping after a 10% discount code). I love the orange color and admittedly that's what got me to try one. Rated 1-6 oz and I have no doubt it will cast that much.

There will definitely be a difference. They are made of two different materials. The BCF rods are S-Glass while the Hell Cat series is made of composite S-Glass and carbon. The Hell Cat will have a much quicker action, more backbone and be lighter. That is just the nature of the materials.

It has strong eyes, a good length handle and the reel seat is top notch. It is a Medium Heavy rod that made for Blues and flatheads and not the babies. The comparison between the Whisker Seeker and the Whisker Whip is comparing apples and oranges. The TWC Whisker Whip is a Medium power rod so more suited to channel cats.
