Bill Mac Forum Resident. Location: USA. I see no reason why Bull Moose would buy Newbury Comics. If Bull Moose wanted to expand their territory they could just open stores in MA and wait for Newbury Comics to fade away. I think Bull Moose as a company is happy servicing Maine, NH and online customers.
In fact there are colored vinyl formulations with a lower noise floor than most black vinyl. There are good and bad examples for each. It would be more accurate to say, pick the digitally sourced vinyl to put on your wall, and play your older pressings for better sound. MrRom92, Jan 23, 2015. #23.

Newbury Comics has been an enjoyable visit for me ever since I first stepped inside the Harvard Square location in the 80s.
Store Forum - Newbury Comics / FYE - I'm in the process of cleaning out my CD and DVD collection, and I was going to bring them to trade in at either FYE or Newbury Comics. The funny part is Newbury Comics was a niche store when they started, all they sold was Indie and Local Boston bands. Maybe they should ditch all of their suburban stores and keep 3 stores in the city and cater to discerning record buyers.
Location: UK. Hi I recently purchased a sealed Newbury comics blue marble vinyl release of Electric Ladyland. Whilst the first disc sounds amazing, the second disc in comparison is lacking in bass and the vocals sound like they're being sung with a bad quality microphone (they don't sound crackly but kind of thin and distorted).
Store Forum - Buybacks at Newbury Comics - There's one Newbury Comics about 45 minutes away from where I live, and their prices are certainly more reasonable than FYE and some other places near where I live.
