The National Institute of Health Research and Development (Indonesian: Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan, abbreviated as Balitbangkes) was a supporting unit of the Ministry of Health which is responsible for state research, development, and innovation in the field of health and medical sciences.
