(WMF): With Vector, and "use legacy vector" selected, the left navigation area (just below the Wikipedia logo) as well as the entire bottom section (where the privacy policy, about wikipedia, disclaimers and so are contained) still have white-ish backgrounds (but the text appears to switch to colors designed to be on black/dark).

Both Israeli cuisine and Palestinian cuisine are indefinitely under WP:ECP due to gastronationalist arguments about the politics of food in the Arab–Israeli conflict (a page not protected), so editors without 500/30 status cannot add information about falafels to Wikipedia.
