Bethany Beach is located at (38.5395564, −75.0551807 The town is bordered to the north by the Delaware Seashore State Park and by Salt Pond, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by South Bethany, and to the west by Ocean View.
According to the 2016 United States Census estimate, Delaware is the 6th least populous state with 989,948 inhabitants but the 2nd smallest by land area spanning 1,948.54 square miles (5,046.7 km 2) of land. [1] Delaware is divided into three counties and contains 57 incorporated places consisting of cities, towns, and villages.
Delaware Route 1 (Coastal Highway), which has its southern terminus at the Maryland border in Fenwick Island, serves as the main north–south road in the town, heading north along the coast toward Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach. Coastal Highway crosses the Maryland border and heads south through Ocean City as Maryland Route 528.
