Nico Robin (ニコ・ロビン, Niko Robin), otherwise known as "Devil Child", is a fictional character in the One Piece franchise created by Eiichiro Oda. The character made her first appearance in the 114th chapter of the series, which was first published in Japan in Shueisha 's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on November 22, 1999.
Robin is frozen by Aokiji and Luffy tells the others to escape with her. In the Going Merry, Usopp and Chopper try to thaw her in the shower. Luffy gets defeated, but his life is spared as Aokiji believes he must repay the debt the marines incurred from Crocodile's defeat at Luffy's hands. With the crew defrosted, they continue sailing as usual.
Sanji, Robin, and Usopp's attacks fail against it. Lilith, along with two other satellites of Vegapunk, Edison, and Pythagoras control S-Shark from afar. Indebted to Luffy for rescuing her, Nico Robin joins the Straw Hat Pirates. An old ship falls from the sky. Rummaging through some of its remains, while dealing with a rival salvaging crew led by the monkey-like Masira, and nearby monstrous sea creatures, the Straw Hats discover the fallen ship has come from an island high in the sky.

Trebol's mucus covering has slipped off, revealing him to be incredibly skinny, leading Luffy to realize the way his attacks didn't work. Further enraged, Trebol causes a large explosion as a last resort. Luffy, Law, and Doflamingo manage to escape and fly toward the Flower Field, and Luffy gives Law to Robin, but Doflamingo attacks her.
Unsuited for the initial pairings, the crew exchanges opponents to improve their chances of victory, allowing two members of CP9 to be defeated. Meanwhile, Luffy follows Robin's captors, CP9 leader Spandam and CP9's strongest member Rob Lucci. Lucci fights Luffy in order to give Spandam time to take Robin to the government's inescapable prisons.
