Bhaktapur (Nepali and Sanskrit: भक्तपुर, pronounced [ˈbʱʌkt̪ʌpur] ⓘ; lit. The centrally located Nritya Vatsala (Sanskrit: Nṛtya Vatsalā; Nepal Bhasa: Nṛtya Bacchalā) is the most well known of the Vatsala temples. The image of the goddess enshrined is placed above a representation of Shiva as the god of music, hence the prefix Nritya is added in the name. [38]
