[12] After the projected completion of the Bowfort Road interchange in summer 2017, 16 Avenue NW became a freeway west of Sarcee Trail to its western terminus.
North of Calgary, from between Range Road 15 & 20 (Panorama Road (24 Street NW) & Mountain View Road) to Range Road 10A (20 Street NE), it is given the designation 176 Avenue N, however it does not enter city limits, with the boundary on the south side of the right of way.

North Haven is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. The community is split by a bus trap into "Lower North Haven" on the south side and "Upper North Haven" on the north side. North Haven was established in 1963. Development of Lower North Haven took place between 1962 and 1971.
