The Colonial Apartments are a historic apartment building at 51-53 High Street in Bangor, Maine. Built in 1919, it is one of the oldest and best-preserved apartment houses in the city that was marketed to a middle and upper-class population. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. [1]

Bangor House is a historic former hotel at 174 Main Street in downtown Bangor, Maine. Built in 1833-34 and repeatedly enlarged, the hotel was a major fixture in the city, and one of the nation's early high-class hotels. It was later converted into apartments.

Whitney Park is located on the west side of Bangor, on the north side of Hammond Street (Maine State Route 100) and south of Cedar Street.North of the park, roughly bounded by Cedar, West Broadway, Union Street, and Pond Street, stand a collection of well-preserved houses noted for their homogeneity of scale and setting.
The district also includes some immediate side streets of equal status, notably French Street, whose houses overlooked downtown Bangor from a bluff. The first residences built along the street's green strip in the 1820s-30s were large brick double-houses and single-houses, again conformed to the city-scape of Boston.
