If anything going on the Main Page is not from a queue that has been stamped by an administrator, perform the required checks on it. Update Template:Did you know from the current queue by copying/pasting the hooks code from the top through <noinclude>. Purge the cache of the Main Page to make sure the new entries appear. (Instructions there.)
When modifying a hook in a queue or prep area (other than minor formatting fixes), please notify the nominator by including a link of the form [[User:JoeEditor]] in your edit summary. (Ping templates like {{u|JoeEditor}} don't work in edit summaries .)
Clear the queue you just promoted hooks from with {{User:DYKUpdateBot/REMOVE THIS LINE}}. If you have time, check if there are any full preparation areas. Check the hooks for errors, and promote them to the next empty numbered queue if they're good. Clear the prep you took hooks from to look like this.

Choose, by inputting a number, which prep set you would like to add a hook too. Once you click "load prep/queue", it should generate the prep set and a list of hooks from the nomination page to choose from. Pick an empty destination slot, a hook to send over, and an image if applicable. Click "submit!".
This page is for listing all articles that are manually removed from DYK Prep, Queue, or the Main Page for whatever reason. Please add new listings to the top of the list, followed by the reason for removal (optional) and your signature. Please also make it clear from where the article was removed (i.e. was it Prep, Queue, or the Main Page).
Invalidating the cache of a page is a short operation; it only requires updating a single database field and sending a multicast packet to clear the caches. But if there are more than about 1000 to do, it takes a long time. By default, jobs are added when more than 500 pages need to be invalidated, one job per 500 operations.
