The Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, rebranded as Humber Polytechnic since 2024, is a public college in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1967, Humber has three main campuses and locations: the Humber North campus, the Lakeshore campus, and the International Graduate School.
The university was established in 2000 by a partnership of the University of Guelph and Humber Polytechnic. The official website of the university says that it was created to "produce a well-prepared university graduate". [6] It is located on Humber Polytechnic's North Campus in the Etobicoke district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The initial reaction was largely negative as the new application and administration was more cumbersome and restrictive than the prior system. University of Toronto and Ryerson students protested and demanded the government increase grant amounts, simplify the application and allow student aid offices to adjust individual awards.
