Ruth Eckerd Hall is a 73,000-square-foot (6,800 m 2) performing arts venue, located in Clearwater, Florida, in the Tampa Bay area and is part of the Richard B. Baumgardner Center for the Performing Arts. The concert hall is named after Ruth Eckerd, the wife of businessman Jack Eckerd, and is a regular performance venue for the Florida Orchestra.
The shows were announced as the first leg of a world tour in support of Dylan's album Rough And Rowdy Ways, set to run until 2024. In March 2019, Ruth Eckerd Hall [3] announced a $2.5 million gift from Nancy and David Bilheimer as part of the theater's ongoing “Expanding the Experience” fundraising campaign. In recognition of the generous donation, the Capitol Theatre in downtown Clearwater is now called The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre.
