Caparra is an archaeological site in the municipality of Guaynabo in northeastern Puerto Rico. Declared a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1994, the site contains the remains of the first European settlement and capital of the main island of Puerto Rico, specifically the foundations of the residence of Juan Ponce de León, the first European conquistador and governor of Puerto Rico.
Like all municipalities of Puerto Rico, Guaynabo is subdivided into administrative units called barrios, which are, in contemporary times, roughly comparable to minor civil divisions, [1] (and means wards or boroughs or neighborhoods in English).
Villa Victoria is a historic house located in the Santurce area of the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico.Formerly a private single-family residence, Villa Victoria has served as a local chapter and the San Juan headquarters of the YWCA since 1955, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 and to the Puerto Rico Register of Historic Sites and Zones in 2000.

Golden Sands was privatized in the 1990s and attracted considerable investment through the 2000s. Designed initially for 13,000 hotel beds, it had over 30,000 beds reported in 2007; according to Varna Tourist Chamber sources, the actual number was significantly higher, [ 1 ] by some unverified critical estimates even approaching 90,000. [ 2 ]
