Dewa was formed in 1986 by four students from SMAN 2 Surabaya. The name Dewa is an acronym of the founding members' names: D from Dhani (keyboard, vocals), E from Erwin Prasetya (bass guitar), W from Wawan Juniarso (drums) and A from Andra (guitar). I Dewa Gede Budjana (born 30 August 1963) is an Indonesian guitarist, songwriter and composer. He is the lead guitarist and songwriter of the band Gigi . Budjana's style changed dramatically to jazz as he got to know John McLaughlin , Pat Metheny , Jeff Beck , John Abercrombie , Chick Corea , and Weather Report .
