Hagfish was formed in Dallas, Texas when brothers, guitarist Zach Blair and bassist Doni Blair met drummer Banning Lyon after his band Conniption Fit broke up in the early 1990s. Their collective chemistry led the trio to pursue frontman James Newhouse, formerly of the band Terminal Rot, who would fill the position. [1]
The Killdares played many local Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex festivals, including Taste Addison, MayFest, Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games, Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, and Grapefest, [2] and were featured at the State Fair of Texas for seventeen years. The band retired in November 2016 after 20 years of performing.
Dallas City Limits was a live music venue and nightclub located at 10530 Spangler Road in Dallas, Texas. It played an important role in the Dallas music scene from the late-1980s until its closure in the mid-1990s. Its demise was due to the growing popularity in grunge music and the decline in metal.
