The Passenger Assistant Program, also in partnership with the Red Cross, is offered for adults and seniors in Brampton and Mississauga who have intellectual or mental health disabilities such as epilepsy, low vision, and Alzheimer's disease. It also serves people who require supervised transportation and assistance while travelling.
Some residents may need assistance with a few activities of daily living and can obtain third-party home health care services. Seniors who may benefit from less home upkeep and increased access to nutritious meals, social interaction, physical and mental stimulation, and transportation make ideal independent senior living community residents.
STAR (Seniors Transportation Access and Resources) started in 2011. They collaborate with senior-focused organizations across B.C. to improve and develop transportation services for older adults.
