Taylor Creek is a 2.2-mile-long (3.5 km) [2] northward-flowing stream originating in the Fallen Leaf Lake and culminating at Baldwin Beach at Lake Tahoe, about 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Camp Richardson in El Dorado County, California.
Taylor Creek is the only outflow, and it is controlled by a long, low concrete dam with an adjustable spillway to control the rate at which the water leaves the lake. This dam is 12 ft (3.7 m) high and 265 ft (81 m) in length. [3] Taylor Creek [4] flows northward, passing under State Route 89, and enters Lake Tahoe at Baldwin Beach.
