Huế (formerly Thừa Thiên Huế province) is a southernmost coastal city in the North Central Coast region, the Central of Vietnam, approximately in the center of the country. It borders Quảng Trị to the north, Quảng Nam and Đà Nẵng to the south, Salavan of Laos to the west and the South China Sea to the east.
Bình Trị Thiên (1975–1990) was a former administrative grouping of three provinces in Vietnam: Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên. The grouping did not work well and was reversed in 1992. [ 1 ]

The government of the Nguyễn dynasty, officially the Southern dynasty (Vietnamese: Nam Triều; chữ Hán: 南朝) [a] and commonly referred to as the Huế Court (Vietnamese: Triều đình Huế; chữ Hán: 朝廷化), centred around the emperor (皇帝, Hoàng Đế) as the absolute monarch, surrounded by various imperial agencies and ministries which stayed under the emperor's presidency.
Hương Trà is a district-level town (thị xã) of Huế in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam.As of 2020 the town had a population of 72,677. [1] The town covers an area of 392.32 km².
Hue Central Hospital (HCH), established in 1894, [1] has been the first Western hospital in Vietnam.The hospitals, providing 3939 beds [1] and occupying 190,000 square meters (included Base 2), is one of three biggest in the country along with Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi and Chợ Rẫy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and is managed by the Ministry of Health.
On March 11, 1977, the district was merged with those of Hương Trà and Quảng Điền to become the district of Hương Điền in the province of Bình Trị Thiên (1976–89). On September 29, 1990, Hương Điền was redivided into the three original districts and put in Thừa Thiên–Huế Province.
