After a nightmare with my 2011 Equinox and dumping $7k into it only to be stranded 3 times in a month I was about to swear off GM altogether but decided to give the 2019 Buick Encore a try. Other than getting used to the lack of cargo space and feeling every bump in the road, I do like the look of it, the height and gas mileage.
P0171, according to the manual, is a "Fuel System Lean" diagnostic trouble code. In other words, the engine computer, through the O2 sensor and MAF sensor (mass air flow) adjust your fuel mixture just like a carburetor used to in the "olden days". Causes: MAF sensor. Aftermarket intake or air filter.

The only issues I have seen with the base 1.4L engine have been turbo related, though again that is not that common as the Encore alone has sold over 600,000 with that engine alone, not to mention that it came on the Sonic and Cruze as well. The "All Wheel Drive is Turned Off" came up on the speedometer screen 2 days ago. I had my vehicle appraised by a dealership and they said it can cost up to $2,000.00 to fix is it's related to the "Differential". Getting it checked out with Buick Dealer. May 20, 2024.

3. The head unit, the two pillar tweeters, the amp and the tire-well subwoofer are the exact same between the Bose/non-Bose. 4. Bose code for radio is UQA and non-Bose is UQG. I've confirmed that the GM part numbers are the same on both for the subwoofer and amp. Unable to locate part numbers for head unit at this time.
