The best 2k rattle can epoxy primer, used mainly where I will have prepped bare metal. Rough up the primer and baked enamel, with 200 gritt which overall is in pretty good shape. Clean well. Spray base color (1k rustoleum protective enamel), over primer and roughed up baked enamel. Let it gas off.

If you really want to put the rustoleum over the epoxy, let it cure over night after the last coat and you should be fine, any concerns, just shoot a small test panel when you spray your last coats of epoxy and then test the paint on the panel before you spray the firewall. Kelly. Like.
spraying epoxy primer over epoxy primer. I have been stripping my 65 F100 down to bare metal, a section at a time. I have sprayed each section with two wet coats of epoxy Primer. Then I filled a couple of wave areas ( 3"x 4") with body filler over the sanded epoxy primer.
It "dries" but it doesn't cure, you need a molecule linkup like a 2k primer does to "cure". All a 1k product does is "dry", the solvents in it evaporate out and it dries, that's it. Spray the epoxy over it and it "re-wets" it, not a good choice. Look, every car is different and ever man has a different expectation of these cars.
Devilbliss has a kit out $150 USD an contains 2 complete guns, 1 primer an one paint clear, with 1.3,1.5 an 1.8. Gives you all you need to paint everything. I got a set an haven't had any problem with them an paint primer, SS an BC. Reviews when bought were 75% positive, 20% in the middle an 5% negative.
I'm no bodyman, but what I learned is epoxy primer, filler, sand, high build primer/filler, wet sand, prime, sand, prime, sand, prime until you can't fucking stand it anymore. Take a vacation. Give it another once over, when there are no flaws, epoxy prime, top coat. That was for a show car finish.
rcm800 said: Well I got an answer back from Nason. They recommend a sealer over the epoxy before the paint. They said that you can paint over the epoxy, but best results would be with a sealer. Maybe they are trying to sell more product or cover their tails, but I will seal over it to make sure.
Yes it will spray but maybe not with the transfer efficiency you're expecting if it is too small a tip. The tech sheet says 1.3 to 1.8, at 8-10 psi. Just wondering if the 1.3 is too small. I think with that on the tech sheet, I'd run with the 1.3. The 2.0 would be drooling and slobbering probably.

As far as the window, on something as easy and as important as the fenders or other parts, I just have to give it a good scuff if I am anywhere near that window. In four or five hours, yeah I will apply ...
