The Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is the aquatic center used by the Arizona State University Sun Devils swim team. It opened in 1981, [1] cost four million dollars to build, [2] and is named after Mona Plummer. Plummer was a national championship winning coach who died in 1979; she coached during three decades. [3]
From 1989 to 2011, he served as the swimming head coach for the Arizona Wildcats at the University of Arizona. [1] His swimmers won 49 NCAA individual titles, 31 NCAA relay titles, and 2 NCAA team championships. While at Arizona, he also led Tucson Ford Aquatics (previously Hillenbrand Aquatics) to several national team championships. [2]
