Tropical Park is a 275-acre (1.11 km 2) urban park in metropolitan Miami, Florida. The park is located just southwest of the intersection of the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) and Bird Road , just west of South Miami .
Florida State Road 3 is the main highway in the area, forming the eastern edge of Tropical Park. Tropical Park was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The population was 2,013 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Palm Bay—Melbourne—Titusville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Tropical Park was closed after the 1972 racing season. In 1979, the Miami-Dade County Parks and Recreation service converted the facility into a public park they named Tropical Park . [1] The park offers a number of sports activities including Tropical Park Stadium used for track and field athletics .

Tropical Park Stadium is a 7,000-seat stadium located in Olympia Heights, Florida, a census-designated place near Miami, Florida, United States. The stadium is located in Tropical Park and is the home field of Miami Dade FC and FC Miami City. Also, many local high-school football teams use it as their home field.

Matheson Hammock Park is a 630 acres (2.5 km 2) urban park in metropolitan Miami on 9610 Old Cutler Road, just south of Coral Gables, Florida. The park surrounds the north and western ends of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden .
