The 2016–17 French Basketball Cup season (French: 2016–17 Coupe de France de Basket) was the 40th season of the domestic cup competition of French basketball. The competition started on September 9, 2016 and ended on April 22, 2017.
Basketball started to be famous again because the NBA started broadcasting their games on TV. The French basketball team was able to return to the Olympics in 1984. They also competed in the 1986 FIBA World Championship. [1]
