The holotype remains of this taxon consist of IWCMS 2014.95.5 (premaxillary bodies), IWCMS 2021.30 (a posterior premaxilla fragment), and IWCMS 2014.95.1-3 (a nearly complete braincase). These, in addition to a referred right postorbital (IWCMS 2014.95.4), were recovered from rocks in Chilton Chine of the Wessex Formation .
Majungasaurus (/ m ə ˌ dʒ ʌ ŋ ɡ ə ˈ s ɔː r ə s /; lit. ' Mahajanga lizard ') is a genus of abelisaurid theropod dinosaur that lived in Madagascar from 70 to 66 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous Period, making it one of the last-known non-avian dinosaurs that went extinct during the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.
Suchomimus was a relatively large theropod, reaching 9.5–11 metres (31–36 ft) in length and weighing 2.5–3.8 metric tons (2.8–4.2 short tons). However, the age of the holotype specimen is uncertain, so it is unclear whether this size estimate would have been its maximum.

Masiakasaurus lived from 72.1 to 66 million years ago, along with animals such as Majungasaurus, Rapetosaurus, and Rahonavis. Masiakasaurus was a member of the group Noasauridae , small predatory ceratosaurs found primarily in South America .
Unlike in other theropods but similar to Majungasaurus, the crista prootica, which is typically a ridge along the otic capsule bone in the ear, more so juts outward as a stump. [2] Abelisaurid tibiae; G is Rajasaurus. Rajasaurus had a low horn on its forehead that is primarily made of nasal bone more than frontal, unlike the horn on Majungasaurus.
