Cayden Browning Wallace (born August 7, 2001) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Washington Nationals organization. Amateur career.
Wallace grew up in Robbinsville Township, New Jersey. [2] He attended Robbinsville High School for two years before transferring to the Hun School of Princeton. [3] He was team captain in his last two years and was a three-time All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) selection, also being chosen to USA Today's All-USA New Jersey first-team in 2018 and to the New Jersey Sportszone All-Offense team. The 2024 MLB Draft Lottery took place on December 5, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee during the Winter Meetings. [4] The Washington Nationals were ineligible to participate in the lottery, as per a rule in the collective bargaining agreement between Major League Baseball and MLBPA that limits teams in larger markets from winning draft lottery picks in consecutive seasons.
