India has celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorating 75 years of its independence. To renew the connection with India's ancient and glorious past and commit the task of nation-building towards a greater tomorrow, various cultural and heritage events and programmes have been done. [12]
This anniversary was being marked in 2022 by the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations throughout the country, and the CubeSat was part of this campaign. AzaadiSAT was built by schoolgirls from 75 schools across India. 10 girls from each school were involved, for a total of 750 students involved.
