Seawolf Park is a memorial to USS Seawolf (SS-197), a United States Navy Sargo-class submarine mistakenly sunk by U.S. Navy forces in 1944 during World War II. Cavalla was decommissioned and struck from the Naval Register on 30 December 1969. On 21 January 1971, Cavalla was transferred to the Texas Submarine Veterans of World War II.
