Suhada Koka (Sinhala: සුහද කොකා) is a 2015 Sri Lankan Sinhala political comedy film directed by Giriraj Kaushalya and produced by Ravindra Guruge for TVT Films. [1] It stars Vijaya Nandasiri and Kusum Renu in lead roles along with Rodney Warnakula and Lal Kularatne. Music co-composed by Rohana Weerasinghe and Kapila Pugalarachchi.
Bimba Devi alias Yashodhara (බිම්බා දේවී හෙවත් යශෝධරා) is a 2018 Sri Lankan Sinhala language epic, biographical drama film written and directed by professor Sunil Ariyaratne. [2] This historical biographical film depicts the life of princess Yashodhara, the wife of Prince Siddhartha.
The film was released in Sri Lanka on 22 December 2021. Before that, the film was successfully screened in Australia and New Zealand. [ 12 ] [ 13 ] [ 14 ] It is the first Sinhala film to receive a continuous multiple show Sunday screening slots in Australian theatres in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney as well as received housefull audience.

Sri Lanka had no television services available until 1979. The creation of a national television service was planned several times as far back as 1965 (Ceylon at the time), when then-Minister of State J. R. Jayawardene suggested its creation, but was rejected by Dudley Senanayake's government, whose media advisors led by Neville Jayaweera called television "a gift of a rhinoceros".
