    Tell us about your attempts ? try to open a new dwg then change your Insertion Scale from UNITS command . then insert your drawing ( Inch ) to the new drawing ( mm ) .   9. Ok so i modeled a part in SW2019 in inches but thought I was in MM. The dimensions reflect the mm sizes so when I change units, the dimensions change to the mm value and part is way too big. Is there a way to preserve the original dimension numbers in SW. I used to be able to do this in Inventor by specifying to keep dimension numbers intact.

    My Steps: 1) Start a design with inch units as my preference setting. 2) Change the model units to mm. 3) Change the preference units to mm (not sure this makes a difference since it is for new designs) 4) Closed the model and opened. 5) RMB on the body and selected "Save as STL". Measuring still gave mm units.
