Some fastener specs (allowables) can be found in MMPDS (the MIL-HDBK-5 replacement). All the info you need is on their online catalog. MSC industrial and Misumi are good sources too. The website is thorough, but I’d like to add that casually flipping through the hard copy can be inspiring.

Obtaining McMaster-Carr Catalog. Hi everyone, I'm a mechanical engineering intern in the United States. They put out a catalog every year since the early 1900s. I was looking for some of their old part numbers from the 70s. I was able to identify which number catalog I would need, but the people I spoke to at McMaster couldn’t make heads or tails out of the request. I ended up giving up, but I wanted to tell them, “look you guys spend a ton ...

This is correct. They will only send them to you if you have an existing relationship and spend a reasonable amount of money with them. Mcmaster Carr won't send them to you unless you spend with them in the thousands yearly for several years. They don't send them to just anyone. Trust me I asked.

The McMaster-Carr Catalog is perhaps the most comprehensive (certainly the best regarded) catalogue of every type of mechanical device that a designer might need. It is a staple for mechanical engineers and technicians. Unfortunately, the company only sends a printed version of the catalogue to large customers.

Mcmaster-carr catalog. Hi guys. Ever since I saw the Adam savage video where he introduces his catalog I've been dreaming to get my hands on one... Big problem, besides their rarity, is that I live in Europe.

For people new to Fusion 360 - The McMaster-Carr Catalog. Rant. This is going to be painfully obvious for most everyone here, but hopefully someone gets something from this. If you need a screw or a component, or something manufacturing related, check out the insert tab in Fusion, and click on the "Insert McMaster-Carr Component".

McMaster-Carr sent me an unsolicited catalog at work (R&D chemist, but did mechanical stuff). I kept that thing visible for meetings with craftsmen, maintenance folk. There's a Grainger catalog on the Florida police officer's desk in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
