The club was established as Newport Pagnell Wanderers in 1963, [2] following a meeting between a group of players and Town Clerk Frank Hall. [3] They joined the North Bucks & District League in 1964 and won the Division Three Shield in their first season. [ 2 ]

After leaving Long Buckby in January 2007, he returned to Higham Town as a player, before moving on to play for Newport Pagnell Town. [6] After a spell as assistant manager at Raunds Town , he became manager of Rushden & Higham United (which Higham Town had merged into) in November 2009.
