The Bridgewater Hall is a concert venue in Manchester city centre, England.It cost around £42 million to build in the 1990s, [2] and hosts over 250 performances a year. It is home to the 165-year-old Hallé Orchestra as well as to the Hallé Choir and Hallé Youth Orchestra and it serves as the main concert venue for the BBC Philharmonic.
The Hallé Orchestra moved to the Bridgewater Hall in 1996 and the Free Trade Hall was closed by Manchester City Council. In 1997, the building was sold to private developers despite resistance from groups such as the Manchester Civic Society, who viewed the sale as inappropriate given the historical significance of the building and its site.
The former Bridgewater Town Hall is a two-story wood frame structure, three bays in width, with a hip roof and weatherboard siding. The main (west-facing) facade has a central entrance topped by a relatively large transom window, and framed by pilasters and an entablature with cornice.

Hallé St Peter's is a grade II listed former church in Ancoats which was converted for the orchestra to use for rehearsals, recordings, and small performances, and as a base for the choirs and Youth Orchestra.
