Suceava County (Romanian pronunciation: [suˈtʃe̯ava]) is a county (Romanian: județ) of Romania. Most of its territory lies in the southern part of the historical region of Bukovina , while the remainder forms part of Western Moldavia proper.

The Medieval Seat Fortress of Suceava is located on the eastern ridge of the town of Suceava, overlooking the town. It was constructed on a plateau that rises 70 metres above the river meadow of Suceava (Romanian: Lunca Sucevei). Sucevița (German: Suczawitza or Kloster Suczawita) [2] is a commune in Suceava County, in the historical region of Bukovina, northeastern Romania.It is composed of two villages, namely Sucevița and Voievodeasa (German: Fürstenthal).
