The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) is the state-owned broadcaster in Zimbabwe. It was established as the Rhodesian Broadcasting Corporation ( RBC ), taking its current name in 1980. Like the RBC before it, the ZBC has been accused of being a government mouthpiece with no editorial independence .

In July 2013, Rumbidzai Takawira started anchoring an early morning news bulletin on ZBC TV called Good Morning Zimbabwe and from May 2014 to February 2020 she became the leading anchor on the prime time News Hour bulletin (now the Main News) at 8 pm. Rob Powers (born 1965) is an American television news anchor and journalist based at WEWS-TV 5, the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. Powers was named co-anchor of WEWS's evening newscasts in August 2016. Prior to joining WEWS, Powers was a sportscaster for several major-market television stations, including ABC flagship WABC-TV.
