Taiju fights to allow Takemichi and Naoto to escape, but midway, Takemichi decides to turn back to talk to Inui and Koko. They are stopped by Kisaki, and Naoto is mortally wounded after taking a bullet meant for Takemichi. Izana orders Kakucho to shoot Takemichi as revenge for causing Mikey's death. Takemichi finally resolves Mikey and Draken's dispute.
