Danica Kragic (born c. 1971 [1]) is a professor of computer science from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. She was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2016 [ 2 ] for contributions to vision-based systems and robotic object manipulation .
From 1996 to 2004 Karlsson worked as Director of Studies at KTH. Between 2008 and 2010 she was Vice Dean with responsibility for strategic education issues. [7] Karlsson was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Skövde 2010–2016. [1] On November 12, 2016, she became the 19th President of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. [8]
She started as a lecturer at Royal Institute of Technology in 1980 before serving as acting professor in 1986 until being official appointed as professor in 1989. She has also been visiting scholar at Polytechnic University of New York , University of Kyoto , University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Research Institute for Polymers and Textiles .
The Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, or NORDITA, or Nordita (Danish: Nordisk Institut for Teoretisk Fysik [1]), is an international organisation for research in theoretical physics. It was established as Nord isk I nstitut for T eoretisk A tomfysik in 1957 by Niels Bohr and the Swedish physicist Torsten Gustafson .
