Badarpur is a locality situated in the southern part of South East Delhi district, within the larger metropolis of Delhi, India.It enjoys well-established connectivity to New Delhi and Central Delhi through the prominent Mathura Road and Mehrauli, as well as to various regions within the southern part of Delhi through the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road (MB road).
The highway begins at Badarpur, Delhi near DDA Flats Badarpur and ends at Sector 37, Faridabad, Haryana [4] near Sarai Metro station. It is a part of NHAI's North-South corridor, National Highway 44 , which connects Srinagar to Kanyakumari .
The station is located close to the interstate border between the city of Faridabad in Haryana and Badarpur in Delhi and sees a large daily ridership owing to this fact. It was the terminal station of the Violet Line till 5 September 2015. It was earlier known as Badarpur, and was renamed in December 2014. This is Last Station of Delhi. [3]
The Haryana Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (HMRTC) has plans to establish a metro network spanning 188 kilometers in Gurugram. Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and operating this metro line, similar to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
An extension from the Badarpur metro station of the line was opened on 6 September 2015 to provide connectivity to the neighbouring satellite city of Faridabad. This is the second line to cross the Delhi-Haryana border after the Yellow Line to Gurgaon. This extension runs fully elevated for 13.87 km and has 9 stations. [9]

The station finally received safety clearance and opened as part of the Sarita Vihar—Badarpur section on 14 January 2011. [3] It was earlier known as Tughlakabad, and was renamed in December 2014. [ 4 ]
