Watson is a U.S. molecular biologist, geneticist and zoologist, best known as one of the co-discoverers of the structure of DNA in 1953 with Francis Crick. In 1998, the Modern Library placed The Double Helix at number 7 on its list of the 100 best nonfiction books of the 20th century.
The school was opened in 1999 and resides on the Laboratory campus in Cold Spring Harbor, New York on Long Island. The school offers a graduate degree (PhD) in molecular biology in an accelerated program that strives for completion within four years. The diverse student body includes about 50 percent international students.
Benjamin Lewin is a molecular biologist who founded the journal Cell [1] and authored the textbook Genes. [2] He is credited with building Cell into a recognized journal of cellular biology in a short period of time to rival Nature and Science.
