Opened in 1997, Woodlands Bus Depot is the third bus depot to be built under Trans-Island Bus Services and serves routes under the Woodlands package. It used to also serve Sembawang & Yishun region until 2021. This is Singapore's first multi-storey bus depot. It consists of two floors, workshop on the first floor and parking on the second floor.
In 1995, all bus services (175, 185, 188, 190, 300, 302 and 307) with the exception of service 67 were drawn under Choa Chu Kang Bus Package, whereas they were handed over between 25 July 1999 and 26 December 1999, however service 67 was transferred from Tampines Bus Package and 172 was transferred from Jurong West Bus Package on 26 December 1999.
Named as Trans-Island Bus Service (TIBS), TIBS started operations the following year with a modest fleet of 90 Hino buses on routes 160 and 167. By 1988, the company had expanded its operations to encompass Woodlands and Yishun and operated 328 buses on 214 routes and had taken over SSB. [7]

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) uses buses and other vehicles for public transportation. In 2018, the TTC bus system had 159 bus routes carrying over 264 million riders over 6,686 kilometres (4,154 mi) of routes with buses travelling 143 million kilometres (89 million mi) in the year. [4]
The service frequency varies by route, and some routes do not operate during all periods. However, two express routes (900 Airport Express and 927 Highway 27 Express) are also part of the 10-minute network. The TTC operates several bus routes that run from Toronto into a neighbouring municipality.
